Andrea Z. Scharf is a freelance illustrator from New York City, based in Vienna, Austria.

Her work is rooted in finding and expressing a playful spirit through various forms including illustration, animation and more.

Her illustrative work highlights the humor of our day-to-day and relatability in our collective human experience. Using a vibrant color palette and simple, jaunty line drawings, she connects with her audience through visual storytelling on topics ranging from mental health to the mundane snapshots of daily life.

In her studio practice, away from the screen, she applies a more intuitive process exploring the interaction of form, color and texture creating vibrant abstract works.

She’s produced work for online and print publications, local businesses, social media campaigns, product and surface design, and has been part of multiple group exhibitions in Vienna.
